Historical Renovation in Chapel Hill

From Traditional to Modern Historical Remodel

The homeowners of this beautiful, but tired, historic home in Chapel Hill came to us with the challenge of making it modern, light, and functional for their lifestyle.

Style: Modern Historical

The Process

The original kitchen and dining room were seperated by a wall which came down to open up the space and a header was put into the ceiling to carry the load of the second story. In the middle of the original kitchen was a large utility room that held the hot water heater. That was room was removed to create a big, open and light filled space. From there we added a counter island for seating, a pass through bar at the beverage station and a huge prep island for the family chef to work their magic.
